OPA-Backup

Those of you that are fans of the MS Office suite and have acquired it legally probably know that everytime you do a system reinstall, you have to perform the activation of your license again. The problem is that with the latest versions of MS Office, you cannot perform the registration without an Internet connection, making this both troublesome and time-consuming if your device is, for example, a laptop that doesn't come with the LAN or WLAN drivers pre-installed. OPA-Backup is a wizard-like program that allows you to backup the product activation of Microsoft Office XP, up to 2013.

After reinstalling Windows, it restores the backup so that there is no need for activating Office again. To ease this process, the program comes with a wizard-like interface, meaning each window leads to the next, with a clearly-defined set of instructions and features in each of them. This overly simplistic interface was designed with the sole purpose of not making users believe backup processes are something only the IT-savvy can do.

Before all else, you have to select what version of MS Office you are currently running. The selection palette is quite extensive, being able to back up all versions between XP and MS Office for Windows 8 and 2013. Then, you can either choose to make a backup or restore a previously created one. Regardless of what choice you make, you must then specify the file path for the location of the backup file. It goes without saying that it is a bad idea to save the backup file in a location prone to being wiped after a system reinstall, such as the desktop of the partition the new OS will be installed on.
