How to Install openDIAS?

The easiest way to get openDIAS set up is:

  1. First, go to the directory where the package's source code is saved and type `./configure`. This helps set things up for your system. If you're using an older version of System V with `csh`, just type `sh ./configure` instead.

  2. Once that's running (it might take a little while), type `make` to compile everything.

  3. If you want, you can also run self-tests with `make check`.

  4. Then, install it by typing `make install`—this will install the programs and any necessary documentation.

  5. If you want to clean up after installation, use `make clean`. For a more thorough cleanup, use `make distclean`.

What's New in This Release?

  • Add threading for a smoother UI experience.

  • Fixed some memory leaks—always good!

  • Takes care of things when the loading image isn't available.

  • Uses compiler flags for setting data directories.
