Outer Wilds FOR MAC

Developed on the Unity platform, Outer Wilds is an exploration game that allows you to travel through an alien universe and learn new things about different planets. The game resets once every 20 minutes, so all you have to do is explore and enjoy the experience.

Each time you launch the game you can choose to play in full screen or in windowed mode, to adjust the graphics quality (low, medium, or high), and to customize the controlling keys. The Outer Wilds game allows you to use the mouse and keyboard, but you might find it challenging.

To be able to properly control your character you should connect a Xbox gamepad or a joystick: you will be able to move, look around, and control certain objects a lot easier. Via the Settings panel you can adjust the look and the flight sensitivity level, and you get to invert the Y axis.

Within the Outer Wilds universe you get to use a ship to fly to different planets, to send probes into space and learn more about your surroundings, or to simply stay in front of the campfire and roast marshmallows while conversing with friendly aliens.

The game comes with a very calming music, so you might actually enjoy a relaxing session while watching how everything falls apart around you: in 20 minutes everything resets and you can just start exploring again.

Even though it is still in Alpha stage, Outer Wilds proposes a quite interesting gameplay: for 20 minutes you get to explore a universe ruled by strange physics rules, or to admire the night sky from different planets, in front of a campfire, while you are roasting marshmallows. The overall atmosphere is very calm and relaxing: you get to focus on the journey, not on the destination.
