PapiHop is an addictive arcade-style mini-game where the goal is to carefully control Mr. Papi, a red ball character that jumps all the time. You must steer him to the left or right using the left / right arrow keys so that he lands on a platform. If he lands on an empty space, the game is over.

Controlling the ball is the tricky part of the game and requires quite a bit of play time to master it. The ball’s response to your keyboard presses is a little delayed and the ball steers faster and faster when you hold the left or arrow keys for a number of seconds.

Platforms are of several colors, such as purple, green or red. If you manage to touch the same colors continuously, you will earn extra bonus points, which will count up in the final score. The scores can be shared online and compared to that of others.

As far as preferences are concerned, PapiHop enables you to only change the screen size (100%, 150%, 200% or 300%), and 3 volume levels. Within PapiHop, you can not pause the game and, if you fall into a pit, the game will be over and you will have to restart all the rounds from the beginning.

In summary, PapiHop is a challenging and exciting game for the Mac OS X platform. The gameplay is very simple to understand, but achieving high scores definitely requires a great deal of concentration and hand-eye coordination.
