Software of all kinds and its corresponding executable files carries inherent behavior, which may or may not be the desired one, according to users' specific requirements. Oftentimes, this exact behavior needs to be altered, in order to better reflect the particularities of a given use, and aspects that pertain to launch or other elements are subject to modifications. Such parametrization can be achieved using specialized applications, such as Paramit.

This software, just as its name aptly suggests, was designed specifically in order to offer users the means to configure the way in which application executables are being run, by parametrizing their corresponding launch processes via standardized arguments.

Paramit features a multi-tab layout, which controls all the available functions in a hierarchical and logical way. One will be able to add a preferred executable using the built-in selector, run it, or access the command-line prompt. A variety of arguments and parameters can be added, as long as these are compatible with the executable in question.

In terms of parameters and their specific characteristics, the application supports files and folders and offers two naming conventions, one addressing 255-character maximum length and the other short names, in the 8.3 Legacy Alternative standard.
