Your memory might not always serve you well in times of need, especially because of the abundance of accounts that need to be created and secured nowadays. Luckily, specialized applications like PassBook give you the possibility to store all of your account info into a protected database only you have access to.

No installation is required to make this small software run, thus it can easily be kept on a removable storage device. It roughly takes about 500 Kb on your hard disk drive and uses little system resources, so you need not worry whether or not it can run or fit on any configuration.

The main window is fitted with a toolbar that contains all available features, each represented by an intuitive icon. It only takes a matter of seconds to add an entry, and when you're done, the application can spend the rest of its time hidden in the system tray.

You are asked to save progress when closing or minimizing to system tray. Moreover, you need to fill in a password field, necessary to encrypt your data to ensure maximum protection. Be careful not to forget this password, because it's the only way you gain access to the database.

The application only features a few fields that require your attention. Besides username and password you can also add the URL which is attributed to the given account, as well as description if necessary. However, there is no implemented function that lets you add more fields, or even attach a file to an entry.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that PassBook is a handy application in case you created accounts on one too many websites. It's easy enough to use and you can take it anywhere you go, because it takes little space and requires no installation.
