Note: The application is officially discontinued so it will not receive any further updates. It also cannot be purchased anymore. However, you can still download and use the 30-day free trial from this page, or use other password managers that still get regular updates, like Sticky Passwords or Password Depot.

The Internet is filled with all sort of nice applications and programs that you could use in order to manage files and important information on your computer. One of such applications is Passport.

It allows you to save and manage your passwords in one place, so you wouldn't forget them. It's a handy application, considering that many websites require users to register with an account and it's best if the password is different for each one of them.

The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It sports a really lightweight and intuitive graphical interface with plenty of tools at hand.

The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to create a new database with your passwords. You will need to pick a master password and remember it, since there's no method of recovering it.

You have the option to create multiple databases with various passwords and group them together. Simply add your usernames and passwords one by one in order to create a database.

You can add a title, pick a group, add an URL or path and some notes so you would know what it stands for. Passwords can also be generated inside the application. There's the option to sort items by group, title, username, password, URL or notes.

It comes with many settings that you can adjust, like the option to launch the application when Windows starts, to automatically open the last used database in start up and to ask for confirmation before deleting entries.

You can also automatically clear the clipboard after a number of seconds and lock the database after a few minutes of inactivity. Passport is a very nice application that you could use in order to create databases with your passwords and lock them with a key.
