The Internet is filled with all sort of threats that could infect your computer and steal important data from it. Fortunately, there are many applications that could protect your from that, one of them is PenTBox.

It's a simple security suite filled with various tools to help keep your computer protected and to test your network connection.

PenTBox is a command line application, which is quite nice since it means that you won't have to bother to install it on your device and take up space. However, in order to make the application work you will need to install Ruby, the executable file is provided inside the application.

You will also need to extract files from the archive. PenTBox is packed with all sort of features, including cryptography, network and web tools.

It comes with plenty of features that you can check out, including a base64 encoder and decoder, multi-digest, hash password cracker and a secure password generator.

All you need to do in order to use the base64 encoder is to insert the string that you would like to encode or decode and the application will do that for you. You can create multiple passwords, simply type a word or phase and get suggestions based on the level of security that you're looking for.

It's also packed with some network testing tools that you can check out, including a Net DoS tester, TCP port scanner, Honeypot, Fuzzer, DNS and host gathering and MAC address geolocation.

Moreover, it has some web features that you can check out including HTTP directory or HTTP common files bruteforce. The application is quite intuitive and even though it's a command line program it does come with lots of instructions to guide you through all of its processes and operations.

PenTBox is a very nice security suite that you could use for security and stability testing on computers and networks.
