Perceptron is a free and super fun logic game that lets you try to outsmart a random number generator! Sounds cool, right? Here’s how it works: you click on one of four squares (or buttons), and the game tells you which square you should have picked. You get 28 chances to guess, and the game keeps track of how well you're doing as you go along.
When you make a guess, the correct choice gets highlighted for just 666 milliseconds, while the wrong ones get hidden. This way, you get a little hint to help improve your guessing skills. If you want to feel extra special about your performance, some might say it’s because of ESP!
If you're into coding and want to build Perceptron yourself, it's pretty simple! First, unarchive the files and open up a Terminal window. Then head over to the Perceptron directory in the src folder. From there, just run this command:
qmake
Next, double-click on the Xcode project that gets created. Choose Build from the Build menu in Xcode. This will set everything up for you in the “/build/Debug” folder inside your source directory!
If you're ready to give Perceptron a shot, just click that link! It's an awesome way to challenge yourself and have fun at the same time.
