PlanSwift Pro

PlanSwift Pro is a complex and efficient application created to provide architects and other specialists in the field with a method of creating virtual versions of construction plans, which they can edit in any way they please.

Subsequent to the download process, users will need to enter the license activation information, otherwise the utility will only function in view-mode only.

The multiple tabs of the main window allow users to switch between its various sections, but they make it rather difficult to move the window to another position on the desktop.

The interface of PlanSwift Pro features a working window, where the design is displayed, while on the left side, users can access the ‘Pages / Bookmarks’ in the document, the ‘Takeoff Summary’, ‘Attachments’ or ‘Notes’.

The ‘Templates, Parts, Inputs’ panel in the right side of the interface features elements of varying degrees of complexity which can easily be inserted in the design. Users can view the properties of a certain element in the working window by hovering over it with the mouse cursor.

For starters, users can create a new architectural plan or open an existing one for further work. To begin from scratch, they need to enter a ‘Job / Quote’ number, a ‘Description’ and optionally some ‘Notes’ about it.

Subsequently, users can browse through their PC and select the folder and the individual images they wish to import into PlanSwift Pro, supporting a wide range of formats, including images, PDFs or TIFFs, AutoCAD or Dodge Plan files.

Aside from being able to zoom, pan or scale the image, users can also adjust its dimensions, add various elements such as ‘Area’, ‘Linear’, ‘Segment’, ‘Count’, as well as make ‘Annotations’, insert pages, or rename existing ones.

Moreover, users can rotate, flip or crop the plans, while the ‘Tools’ let users run several conversion processes, or attach Excel files to the project. Other functions include the ability to show or hide labels, overlays, dimensions, notes.
