Portable Chatango Image Grabber

This is the portable edition of Chatango Image Grabber, a tiny and very simple-to-use software program that allows users to download the avatar image of any user from Chatango, the online chat interface.

The app does not comprise complicated options or configuration settings, making it accessible to all types of users, even the ones with little or no previous experience in computer software.

Images can be saved in JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, WMF or GIF format, depending on the user's preferences.

As far as the interface is concerned, all features are wrapped up in a small window with a "what you see is what you get" structure, as there are no other options available, apart from the visible ones.

All you have to do is write the name of a Chatango user and click a button to make the corresponding avatar picture appear in the main panel. Once you specify the output directory, file name and format, the image is quickly saved. You can find out the photo's URL and user's profile link. There are no other notable features.

Chatango Image Grabber supports a hotkey for loading an image (F5) and includes a brief help manual. We have not come across any problems in our evaluation, as the app serves its purpose.

Since installation is not required, you can drop the program files anywhere on the hard disk to run the utility, as well as save it to a pen drive or other mass storage device, in order to run it on any PC without previously installing anything.

What's more, Chatango Image Grabber does not create new entries in the Windows registry, nor additional files on the disk without the user's approval, leaving no traces behind after eliminating it.
