Portable Git

Portable Git is an application aimed at power users who deal with source code and want to avoid having to install programs that will ultimately add entries to their registry and cause dangerous errors.

I liked how the program managed to categorize the various commands one can issue in groups. Ultimately, I felt this was the ideal program for use with any code-editing needs you might have. It is portable and simplistic in style, not using important resources.

You can deploy this program at any given point, provided you carry the app on a stick or other similar removable drive. The user does have tons of options at hand.

From more simple commands dealing with cloning and adding or removing code to showing logs, current development status, merging, and fetching all sorts of previously added information. One does get a full package with this program, which means your work will be that much better because of this program.

Like all other terminal-based programs, here too, the user will end up dealing with the help function which outlines all possible commands and actions that can be taken into consideration when working with this program.

Once again, I was positively surprised to see how well all the actions were sorted in groups that made sense, and ultimately turned all these elements into easily accessible items at any given stage of code development.

If you are happy with the idea of a simplistic Git version that does not require any installation, then this is the program for you without a doubt. Do make sure to have a removable drive on stand by if you want to enjoy the app at its best.
