Portable NDIToolbox

Designed as an image processing application for NDI data (Nondestructive Inspection Data), Portable NDIToolbox gives you the possibility to plot and preview NDE data files. It's wrapped in a user-friendly interface and comes packed with plenty of practical options for all types of users.

Installing this program isn't required, thanks to the fact that it's delivered in a portable edition. It means that you can keep it stored on a USB flash drive and seamlessly launch it on any PC without setup.

Once you reach the main app window, you can pick a data folder to browse for NDE-related information in a tree view. The plot can be previewed in the same window. What's more, content can be imported from HDF5, CSV and other text, UTWin CScan, Winspect 6/7 CScan, DICOM/DICONDE or image files.

For example, you can import data from C/C++, Java, MatLab, IDL or other types of files. Thankfully, there are some sample files available in the downloaded package to give you a better idea of how the application works.

It's also possible to produce thumbnails from data files in order to simplify the way you browse streams, as well as to export projects to files in PNG, PDF, EPS or another type of format.

With the aid of a toolkit called POD (Probability of Detection), you can create, modify and run POD models using NDI measurements. The working environment dedicated to this task has areas for installing new models, editing model properties, managing the inputs and outputs (worksheet, text summary), and running the operation to view plots. The model configuration can be saved anytime.

Another small utility of NDIToolbox is responsible with collecting garbage to identify viable objects and free memory. As far as general program settings are concerned, you can choose the preferred logging level and set another data folder.

All aspects considered, NDIToolbox delivers an intuitive GUI and practical options for helping you process NDI data files.
