Portable Timestomp-GUI

This is the portable counterpart of
Timestomp-GUI. As the name suggests, it is a graphical interface for the Timestomp command-line application, which enables users to seamlessly change time attributes for files.

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the executable file anywhere on the hard disk and just click it to run. It is also possible to save Timestomp-GUI to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine directly. An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry is not updated with new keys, and no files are created on the disk by the app, leaving it clean after removal.

The interface is made from a regular window with a clean and intuitive structure, where you can point out the Timestomp location and file whose attributes you want to change by using the file browser. Drag-and-drop is not supported.

Batch processing is possible, meaning that you can alter time attributes for multiple items at once, by including an entire folder in the task. You can select between changing the time for last modification, access or creation, or modify everything. Timestomp-GUI also integrates an option that lets you change a file's attributes by making them equal to the ones of another file from the hard drive. Modifications are applied with the click of a button. The program runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM, and carries out tasks quickly and effortlessly. We have not come across any kind of issues in our tests, since the tool did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Timestomp-GUI should meet the requirements of users looking to seamlessly modify time attributes for files.
