The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It sports a clean and intuitive graphical interface with many nice tools at hand.

PowerVue is available as a limited version freeware. Although limited to 5 nodes, the number of branches is not limited. This makes it capable enough for calculating all types of circuits in small projects. It allows you to draw and print single line diagrams.

You can calculate voltage drops and branch currents, and analyze DC, single phase or three phase circuits. It display complete device information including node voltages, voltage drops, current, kW, kVA and kVAr flow. It allows you to evaluate the effects of disconnected devices and branches on the rest of the circuit.

You can calculate three-phase, line to ground, line to line and double line to ground fault. Include motor contribution to fault. It shows earth current, fault R/X ratio, RMS and peak fault current. It can display voltage and current vectors. You can add to or modify database device classification.

It highlights devices with overcurrent, kVA/kW overload, over/undervoltage and you can use graphics to annotate and add legends, title blocks, logos to the single line diagram.
