Psalms and Ragas is a super handy desktop app that lets you dive into the beautiful world of Indian religious music. It's all about those deep, meaningful tunes connected to Hinduism, featuring Ragas and Psalms that have been cherished for ages. You’ll find songs dedicated to the gods like Vishnu, Shiva, and Parvati, along with their many forms.

Easy Access to Indian Psalm Tunes

The interface of Psalms and Ragas is designed to be user-friendly. To kick things off, just pick a tune from the drop-down menus in the top left corner of the main window. You can choose a lovely Raga or a catchy refrain from a Psalm or Canticle. There are even pieces created at the St. Benedict Monastery!

Select Your Favorite Instrument

In the center of the window, you'll see options to pick which instrument you want playing your chosen tune. Plus, you can set how many times you'd like to hear it repeat—up to 20 times! It’s perfect for really getting into those melodies.

Adjust Volume and Tempo with Ease

You can also adjust the song volume and tempo right from the top left corner of your screen. And if you're curious about each Raga's details, there's an option to read through its description note by note.

Follow Along with the Piano Keyboard

If you're into playing music yourself, you’ll love that there’s a piano keyboard at the bottom of the main window. This feature makes it super easy to follow along with the notes as they play! Don't forget that in your Preferences menu, you can choose which instruments will be featured when you select “All” from your song choices.
