The Pushover Adium plugin makes life easier by automatically sending any messages received in Adium to your Pushover-enabled devices when you're away or when your screen is locked. This way, you never miss important messages!

Getting Started with Pushover

If you want to use Pushover, here’s how to get started:

• First, install the Pushover app on either your Android or iOS device and create an account.


• Next, click on Install for the Adium plugin.


• Open up Adium preferences and head over to the Events tab.


• Double-click on “Message Received” and then hit the “+” button at the bottom of the window.


• Select “Forward to Pushover” from the Action dropdown menu.


• Now, enter your unique Pushover user key (you can find this on pushover.net or in the settings of the app on your phone) along with an optional device name.


• If you want notifications while you're away or if your screen's locked, just check those boxes!


• Finally, click Ok to save everything.
