Query Light

Query Light is a lightweight tool designed to help ODBC database administrators simplify their work by providing them with various means of accomplishing their tasks.

This application requires Java Runtime Environment in order to enable users to benefit from its capabilities entirely. It is portable and does not require installation, as simply running its executable grants full access to its functions. It does not create additional folders nor does it modify registry entries.

Users can turn to this tool especially when working with read-only environments. It enables users to connect to their ODBC databases, manage them and run queries. Its lightweight build makes it able to run on a broad range of computers, whether low-end or high-end ones.

Among its features, users can find moderate SQL editing abilities, Toad and SQLDeveloper-like functions, such as Ctrl + Enter command for running query or F5 for running scripts from the cursor. This application supports running multiple sessions that users can switch between, depending on the current situation.

Database admins can export their queried data to both Excel and CSV formats, for future reference. Query Light is also capable of describing various database objects by selecting the desired item and hitting the F4 keyboard button.
