Description
Quitter
Quitter is a handy little tool for your Mac that helps you stay focused by managing those pesky social media distractions. You know how easy it is to lose track of time scrolling through feeds? With Quitter, you can automatically hide or quit an app after you haven't used it for a while.
How Quitter Works
Once you install Quitter, a small menu will pop up in your status bar. It’s super simple to use! Just click on it to turn the service on or off whenever you want. A little heads-up: at first, Quitter doesn't come with any rules set up, so you'll need to go into the settings and create some yourself.
Add Apps Easily
You can use Quitter with any app that's on your Mac. Just open Finder and find the app you want to monitor. Once you've selected it, Quitter will add it to its list so that you can control how it behaves.
Set Your Rules
Inside the Quitter Rule panel, you'll have the option to either hide or quit the apps you're monitoring. Plus, you get to decide how long before it takes action based on inactivity—just set that in minutes!
One Rule per App
A quick note: You can't set multiple rules for the same app. Each one can only be listed once. So if you want to hide an app first and then quit it later, that's not gonna work with Quitter.
Boost Your Productivity
In short, Quitter is all about helping boost your productivity by keeping distractions at bay. When certain apps are hidden or closed after a period of inactivity, they're less likely to pull your attention away from important tasks.
