How to Use Rewind
To get started with Rewind, just hit record when you launch the app. If something interesting happens and you want to save it, use the “rewind” function. This will save those last 60 seconds as an MP4 video file.
Important Notes About Recording
Keep in mind that if you forget to activate the rewind option, anything you recorded will be lost once you stop recording. So, if you're not careful, that awesome clip could disappear!
User-Friendly Features
The app has a neat status bar menu that gives you quick access to both recording and rewinding options. Plus, there’s a system-wide hotkey for rewinding so you can act fast!
Selecting Your Preferences
When you're in the main panel of Rewind, you'll have control over which screen to monitor, the output resolution, and even the video frame rate. It’s all about making sure it fits your needs.

You can also choose what audio gets captured—system sounds, internal mic audio, line-in audio, or even use Soundflower for more options. And guess what? You can shorten the rewinding period to just 30 seconds through the Preferences menu!

Your recordings are saved automatically as MP4 files on your drive. If you're ever unsure where they went, just right-click and select “Show in Finder.” You’ve got plenty of sharing options too; upload directly to Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, or Flickr without any hassle.
