Ringer is a handy little app for your Mac that makes creating ringtones for your iPhone super easy! If you've ever tried to use other audio software to make ringtones, you know it can be a bit tricky. You often have to pull out just the right piece of a song and add effects, which can be a hassle.
With Ringer, you don’t have to worry about that! This app lets you work with any non-protected audio track to whip up some awesome ringtones. Plus, it simplifies transferring them straight to your iPhone.
One cool thing about Ringer is that it generates M4R files, which are perfect for iOS devices but can also play nicely with other gadgets supporting the M4A format.
Getting started is simple. You can browse through your iTunes media library and pick any non-protected track you want to work on. But that’s not all! You can easily drag and drop audio files into Ringer too, as it supports most popular audio formats.
Ringer has a selection of pre-made ringtones sorted into three fun categories: assorted, classic arcade, and RingtoneFeeder. Feel free to tweak these sounds or send them directly to your iPhone!
Once you've picked an audio track, you'll see its waveform displayed in the main window. Use the selection tool to highlight the part you want as your ringtone or alert tone.
You can also add fade-in or fade-out effects ranging from half a second up to five seconds! Plus, you can set how long you want the gap between rings—it’s really customizable!
Overall, Ringer allows you to take virtually any audio track and create unique iPhone ringtones. Just import your desired track, select the section you're interested in, and let the app do its magic by copying the finished ringtone into your iTunes Tones folder—ready for your device!
