Robotize is a handy little tool for checking websites. It helps you quickly find broken links and other content or metadata issues that might not meet WCAG standards.
So, what does that mean? Well, it lets you see a website the same way search engines do, just in plain text.
The user interface of Robotize looks like a simple web browser. You’ll find a toolbar with just three buttons: forward, back, and refresh. There’s also an address bar where you can enter any website's URL.
To kick things off with Robotize, just type in the URL of the site you want to check into its address bar. It loads super fast because it doesn’t bother with fancy layouts or images like regular browsers do.
Once Robotize finishes loading the site, you can dive into the results! You can check out lists of headings and meta tags or see all the images listed as URLs in plain text.
If you want to tweak how everything looks, Robotize has a Preferences window. You can customize how headings and text are displayed using OS X’s built-in fonts and even change the background color of the browser!
Overall, Robotize is an efficient website testing tool. It gives you great insights into how search engines work and helps improve your website's overall quality.
