Root Actions Servicemenu is a freely distributed and open source service menu for the KDE desktop environment, designed as a replacement for the default Edit-as-Root functionality. It includes several useful functions, with the most important being Open Terminal Here, allowing users to open a new Terminal application with root privileges in the current folder.
To start using Root Actions Servicemenu, download the latest release from the official homepage. Once downloaded, extract the TAR archive and install the script using the provided commands. Restart your session for the actions to appear in the right-click context menu.
Root Actions Servicemenu is designed for the KDE desktop environment, supporting the 3.x and 4.x branches. It is not compatible with KDE Plasma or other open-source desktop environments or window managers.
