What is RSS Growler FOR MAC?

RSS Growler

RSS Growler is a cool tool that sits in your menu bar and helps you read RSS feeds. It’s kind of like RSS Menu but made especially for Trac users. While it works with other RSS feeds, using it with Trac really shows off its best features.

Perfect for Developers

This tool is designed with developers in mind, especially those working on projects that use svn Trac integration. It makes it easy to keep track of commit logs and diffs through RSS feeds. Here are some of the awesome features you can expect:

Main Features of RSS Growler

  • Multiple feed subscriptions + support for HTTP authentication.

  • Growl notifications that include revision numbers and commit logs. You’ll get the full log if you set your RSS feed from Trac to "verbose=on" by checking "Show full log messages" before switching to the RSS view.

  • A list showing the most recent commits across all your projects, plus you can customize which feeds show up in this list.

  • Caches links for recent RSS items so you can automatically download and save them as web archives. When you click on a link in the RSS menu, it opens right from your disk!

  • A submenu with parsed URLs or radars lets you access these directly if they were included in the commit log.

  • You can customize how each feed appears in Growl, which is great for keeping things organized.

  • Clicking on a Growl notification will take you straight to the diff!

Requirements

You should probably download Growl to make sure you're getting all the benefits from using RSS Growler.
