Ryzom is a a Science-Fantasy MMORPG, which enables you to discover the planet Atys and experience a virtual world filled with flora and fauna that dynamically interacts with each other in an continuously changing environment.

You can fully customize your gaming experience along with your character and chose one of the four humanoid races called homins. The Matis are a noble race of forest dwellers and they master the art of fusion, botany and genetic manipulation. The Matis kingdom consists of castles formed from massive tress.

The Tryker is an independent race of lake dwellers capable to build large floating cities and powerful networks of wind-powered water pumps. There is also the Zorai, a spiritual and calm race of jungle dwellers that builds their temple cities within naturally reinforced areas of the jungle.

The last race, the Fyros are a tough and determined species of desert dwellers that takes advantage of the fire technology to build and develop their weapons and architecture.

The storyline of the game is mainly determined by your actions and the missions you choose to complete. You can engage in various types of combats such as player vs. player, guild versus guild, and faction versus faction. However, you can choose to stay away from any kind of combat and focus on other aspects of your virtual life.
