SaltyGrain is a cross-platform granular audio effect plugin that enables you to create rhythmic distortions, spooky background noises, or weird effects for movies. It works by taking incoming audio streams and chopping them into small grains (segments) to create a fresh sound. SaltyGrain modifies the grains by changing panning, pitch shifting, or envelope shaping before the sound is finished.
