Sand Slides is a puzzle game that provides its players with a different type of experience. It’s not just about winning more points, but also about having a feeling of satisfaction when the right colored sand goes into the correct sand collector.

The game play area in Sand Slides allows you to draw a slide from the sand chute that’s filling to the sand collector of the same color. That’s about the simplest way to describe the game’s mechanics and, from what we’ve been able to see, there’s not much more to tell about it.

Besides trying to get your way through the various challenges, Sand Slides is also designed to mesmerize you with the great looking animated backgrounds and the absorbing sound effects for each action you perform in-game.

Sand Slides also allows you to win up to 76 different achievements, designed to be an incentive to try to hone your sand sliding skills just a little more.

The Sand Slides features with a resizable window, thus allowing you to enlarge the gameplay area as much as you want by dragging any of its sides with your mouse.

Sand Slides has a built-in tutorial designed to help you understand how the game is played but, unfortunately, once you get to the “draw your own sand slide part”, it stops working. There is no way to draw a slide, because your mouse seems to be disabled.

What's more, the game's quite unusual menu will not allow you to select and enter a sub-menu with a simple mouse click. You will have to click each entry once to select it and click it again to activate it.

Although it has some quirks and the game play could be improved, Sand Slides does provide an enjoyable experience if are a fan of novel puzzle games.
