There are an abundance of activities which need to be performed on a daily basis, and chances are you forget about some of the basic ones. For instance, Scheduler comes as a cool tool with which to program specific computer events, such as launching a program of choice, opening a URL, or powering off your PC.

One particular advantage is that you don’t even need to go through a setup process to make it work, so you can see what it’s all about from the moment download is done. As such, it becomes your personal scheduler, working just fine even from a USB flash drive. Just make sure that the target PC is fitted with .NET Framework.

There aren’t any preset configurations to try out, but the clever design makes it easy for beginners and experienced individuals alike to get the hang of things. A list is there to display all created actions, while a side panel holds all necessary options for configuration, so you don’t lose time through other windows.

Good, but far from being a pro Several actions can be triggered at the specified time. On the one hand, you can have the computer open up any kind of file, or even take you to a specific web page in your default web browser. On the other hand, the application allows you to schedule system restart or shutdown so you don’t fall asleep during a movie, leaving the PC to use power for no reason.

A 24 hour clock is at your disposal to set the exact hour and minute when the action is taken. As soon as you’re done setting up details, actions become active, just awaiting the specified time. Sadly, the program can’t be set to the tray area, and if you want to have it launched with Windows you need to add a shortcut inside the Startup folder.

All things considered, Scheduler comes with the right tools to help you launch files and websites of interest exactly at the right time. Sadly, it’s missing some basic features, such as a startup integration, or minimization to the tray area so it doesn’t take up any space in the taskbar.
