What is Se-interface FOR LINUX?

Se-interface

Se-interface is a cool theme that started as a WindowBlinds design made by MrSkope, aka Damian Strain. He created it for his own use on Windows, and you can check out his work at DeviantArt or WinCustomize. I thought it would be fun to bring this theme over to Gnome. I got the thumbs up from MrSkope, and here we are!

How to Download Se-interface

If you're ready to give it a try, here's how you can get started:

  1. Download the file and extract the tar.bz from the zip file onto your desktop.

  2. Open up your terminal and run these commands:

sudo cp -r $HOME/Desktop/Se-interface /usr/share/themes

What is GNOME?

You might be wondering what GNOME is all about. It's an international project focused on building a complete desktop environment. Basically, it's that graphical user interface you see sitting on top of your computer's operating system, made entirely from free software. This includes everything from software development frameworks to application launching tools.

The GNOME Project

The GNOME project is part of the GNU Project and works with different Unix-like operating systems, especially Linux. It even has ties with Java Desktop System in Solaris! The name GNOME originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, but that's not really used anymore.

Simplicity and Usability

This project really emphasizes making things simple and user-friendly. They want everything to just work without any hassle! So if you're looking for an easy-to-use desktop experience, GNOME has got you covered!
