Sequoia is a free game for Mac OS X that puts a twist on the classic Tetris! It might look easy, but trust me, it’s trickier than it seems. The main goal is to create 4 by 4 squares using those familiar shapes made up of four squares each.
Once you kick off the game, pieces will automatically start moving towards the blue square in the center. Your mission? Keep those pieces from hitting the edges of your screen because if they do, it's game over!
You get an endless stream of game pieces and your job is to build as many 4 by 4 squares as you can. Want to change the piece’s direction? Just use the Up arrow or W key to rotate them. If you want them to drop faster, hit the Down arrow or S key!
Every time you successfully create a square, your score goes up by one! You can keep an eye on your score in the top left corner of your window. Sequoia launches in full-screen mode by default but if you prefer a smaller view, just hit Escape to switch to windowed mode.
If you need a quick break, pause the game with the Space key or just click anywhere in the game area. Plus, Sequoia tracks your highest scores so you'll always know how you're doing.
If you're hunting for a fun yet challenging way to pass some time—and maybe even give your brain a little workout—Sequoia is exactly what you need!
