SideSync is a handy software solution from Samsung that lets you connect your Mac to your Samsung Galaxy device. With it, you can easily transfer files back and forth between your Mac and your phone, check out what’s on your mobile screen, and more.

How to Use SideSync

The SideSync desktop app works alongside a mobile companion utility. Just make sure both apps are running at the same time! You’ll also need both devices connected to the same WiFi network or plugged in via USB.

Connecting Your Devices

When you start SideSync, it scans for compatible devices on the network. To connect, just confirm the randomly generated code that pops up on both devices within 30 seconds. If for some reason SideSync doesn’t see your device, don’t worry! You can manually enter a PIN number or use the QR Code feature in the app to set things up.

Keeping Track of Notifications

Once you're connected, you can view your phone's screen right from your Mac. This means you won’t miss any incoming messages or calls! You can even respond to texts or make calls directly from your computer without having to switch devices.

File Sharing Made Easy

The best part? SideSync makes file sharing super simple! You can drag and drop files between your Mac and phone effortlessly. Within the SideSync interface, you'll be able to browse through all the content on your phone—think documents, images, videos, music—and transfer whatever you need quickly.
