Simple Blogger

Simple Blogger is a software program dedicated to BlogSpot users and enables them to easily write new posts and manage them in an efficient manner, without having to actually open your web browser.

The setup process is not a prerequisite, as this tool is portable. Consequently, you should know that it is not going to make any kind of changes to the Windows registry without your prior approval.

Moreover, you can easily copy the program files to an external data device (e.g. USB pen drive) and thus take Simple Blogger anywhere with you and run it on any PC you use other than your own.

The interface is quite minimal and well-organized, as it consist of a menu bar, a few buttons and some panels which enable you to input your text and title, and view all available and used labels. This paired with the well-drawn Help contents enclosed, makes it possible for all user categories to write and post their blog entries using this utility.

First and foremost, you should know that this tool supports multiple BlogSpot accounts, and therefore if you have multiple blogs, you can write here for all of them, by simply selecting it from a list.

In addition to that, it is possible to download labels and view them in a dedicated panel, as well as add new ones manually. New posts can be created, by simply adding a title and the actual text body, and selecting the labels you deem fit.

Editing options are pretty limited and encompass creating hyperlinks, inserting images from a specified URL or the hard drive with a custom alignment and size, adding quotes or applying an effect to the text (bold, italic, strike).

Last but not least, draft can be saved with just a click of the button, while you can also load them, as long as they come in a SBD file format. Posting an entry can be easily achieved, with just a click of the button.

The computer’s performance is not going to be hampered as CPU and memory usage is low at all times, while the response time is quite good. The interface is friendly to all users and we did not come across any bugs or hangs in our tests.

Taking all of this into consideration, we can safely say Simple Blogger is a handy piece of software for BlogSpot users, yet we would have liked to see more options, especially text editing ones.
