With all the activities you can perform online, it’s pretty difficult to stay focused on a single task, and keep only the window of interest active until all tasks are done. However, you can at least try and focus more, but if all else fails, SingleApp can try to force you to stay in the same window as long as the case requires it.
There’s no setup involved, which means you get to check out the set of features from the moment download is done. Flexibility is a plus here, as you can carry it on a thumb drive, while security also benefits, since registry entries are not modified to enable functionality.
Don’t worry if Notepad continuously shows up, even when closing it for the hundredth time, because it’s actually an example of the application’s core feature, and Notepad is only a test subject here. Note that the password is “SingleApp” with the exact casing, it can’t be changed, and is the only way to stop this repetitive app launch cycle.
When not directly used, the application quietly sits in the tray area. On the other hand, you don’t really need to use any tray commands, apart from exit, mostly because there are no commands. Configuration is possible, but it needs to be done from the associated INI file found in the source folder.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a great variety of options to be found in the INI file either. The only thing you can change is the program to continuously bring on your screen. The full path, name, and extension need to be provided.
Whenever the application runs, it automatically brings up the target program, giving it full focus privileges, and you’re going to have a hard, almost impossible time working with anything else on screen. What’s more, closing the program automatically starts it again, so you only get to work on the last session if the program in question is configured in this regard.
Bottom line is that focusing through force doesn’t really make your work more efficient. However, SingleApp tries to implement this on you by constantly bringing up the same program, while also stealing focus almost completely from anything else. If you’re really having trouble concentrating on a single task, this app might just help you out.
