Working on multiple things at once on your computer is pretty much a commonality nowadays, and it's often that you find people opening multiple tabs when browsing. Those tabs are not all equal in terms of importance — there's always one tab that takes precedence over any other.

As such, what if you could create an overlay of a specific website and have it on your desktop for easier access? Skeleton provides that functionality, and it's a great convenience to make use of it: insert a URL of interest, tweak some settings, then open it through the app.

The app is quite intuitive, so getting started with it won't take much time. Upon opening it, you'll be required to enter a URL to overlay. Keep in mind that the protocol has to be entered for the site to open: users need to type in https:// or http:// before the actual site address.

After entering the address, you can go right ahead and save the configuration, then click the switch to open the website. This triggers the program to open a window with the specified website, which will act just as if it were opened in a browser.

While the default settings work just fine, users can nevertheless make some adjustments to better fit their use case. Adjusting the overlay window's width and height is possible, but other options to further personalize the experience are also available.

For example, users can make the overlay transparent, as well as have it always on top. More than that, per the user's preferences, the window can be resizable, movable, or not at all. You can also employ a hotkey to trigger an overlay: for example, we used Alt+9 to open YouTube, and everything worked without any issues.
