Smart Duplicate Finder is a lightweight software application whose purpose is to help you find and remove duplicate files stored on your computer. The program also supports all sorts of storage devices, such as USB flash drive, iPhone, iPod, PSP, MP3/MP4 player, and camera.

You are welcomed by an Explorer-like panel where you can browse throughout the entire content of your computer and select the folders that you want to include/exclude in/from the scan process.

The selected files can be moved to another folder, renamed, or deleted. Other important features worth being mentioned enable you to export the list with duplicate entries, preview the files directly in the main window (including videos), and get detailed information about each item, such as filename, size, location, length, format, and modified date.

Advanced settings help you tweak the scan task by including or excluding system and application files, hidden, protected, read-only and temporary items, subfolders, compressed items, empty files and folders, and Recycle Bin files. You can also choose between two scan types, namely CRC or MD5.

You are given the freedom to synchronize files between two folders and remove files permanently from your computer so they cannot be recovered using dedicated applications.
