Smart PDF Editor Pro is an advanced application specialized in reading, creating, editing, merging, and splitting PDF files. You may insert watermarks and bookmarks, and add custom text messages.

You are welcomed by a ribbon-like layout that looks very similar to the one adopted by Microsoft Word. The tool lets you preview the content of PDF files directly in the main window and perform the editing mode directly on the text.

Smart PDF Editor Pro gives you the possibility to perform basic editing tasks, such as cut, copy, paste or delete, alter the text in terms of font, size, color and alignment, find and replace words or characters, and insert text boxes.

What's more, you can add images from your computer into the current document (e.g. BMP, PNG, JPG), embed hyperlinks and tables, import DOC files from your computer and save data to PDF file format, export PDF content to DOC file format, as well as undo or redo your actions.

The program gives you the possibility to split or merge PDF files, extract pages from a PDF item, insert or remove pages, sign PDF files, as well as password-protect documents and disable different types of permissions (e.g. printing, modifying document, commenting, copying content). You are allowed to apply text or image watermarks, add stamps (e.g. 'Confidential,' 'Approved'), as well as embed attachments.

The application needs extra time in order to open large PDF files and eats up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer may be hampered. We have tested it on Windows 8.1 and come across several crashes. However, it provides very good output results.

While working with Smart PDF Editor Pro we’ve noticed that Microsoft Word does not function properly (it freezes) so you need to close it.
