Snow Christmas Tree

Snow Christmas Tree is an interactive and small desktop enhancement that helps countdown the remaining time until the next event, while it brings a jolly and festive atmosphere to your monitor.

The setup is over before you know, and requires just to hit a few "Next" buttons, to be completed. Once finished, you can take it for a test, and decide if it's suitable for you. The tool can be moved to any location on the screen, and kept on top of other utilities.

The settings are accessible by right-clicking on it, or from the system tray. Thanks to its intuitive and user-friendly layout, even those less experienced can use it with minimal effort. The first function visible is the show/hide action, along with other optional features, such as load at startup, display shadows, the stars, and counter.

Unfortunately, the due date is outdated and can't be updated to the current date/time, which makes the tool more or less pointless. The skin can be changed from a broad range of predefined ones, like ball, snow, nice, small and big tree. Downloading more similar utilities from the developer's website is possible.

From the same menu, you can modify the text font color, type, size, and style, to best suit your preferences. The app lets you enable to sounds every half or a full hour, and pick the desired tone, from three default ones. It would have been nice, if the tool offered the options to select a custom sound from the computer, and quickly update the clock.

Taking everything into account, Snow Christmas Tree is a fun and entertaining desktop enhancement that comes in different shapes and styles, and with basic customizations. It also beautifully decorates the monitor, while it counts the days to the next Christmas.
