Description
Socket Workbench
Socket Workbench is a handy networking tool that helps you check and verify the data sent and received through sockets. It comes with log files and user-friendly settings that make it easy to customize your experience.
Easy to Use Interface
The interface might look a bit old-school, but don’t let that fool you! It's actually pretty straightforward to use. When you first open the app, you can pick from some ready-made options for things like web servers or browsers (with or without a proxy), sending emails, or keep-alive requests. If none of those fit your needs, no worries—you can create your own setup!
Custom Connections
With Socket Workbench, you get to choose the server and port number. You can also decide if you want to see just the input, just the output, both, or neither. Once you're set up, connecting to the server is as easy as clicking a button. Plus, if you need to take a break from scanning, you can pause it anytime.
Log Details Made Simple
You’ll love how Socket Workbench keeps track of everything! The log details show info like ID numbers, timestamps, and whether messages are incoming or outgoing. To send packets, all you have to do is type in your information and maybe add a description. You can even save these details to an external file for future tests!
Edit Protocols & View History
This tool lets you view and edit common protocols easily. You can check out your event history in its own window too! Want to keep logs? Just enable data logging and choose where to save files for inputs, outputs, socket events—the works! Plus, data can be recorded in hexadecimal code if that's more your style.
No Stability Issues Here!
We ran some tests and didn’t face any stability problems at all—no crashes or error messages! Socket Workbench executed commands quickly without putting much strain on your computer’s CPU or RAM.
A Powerful Tool Despite Its Looks
Even though Socket Workbench's looks might not impress everyone, it packs powerful tools that are super easy to use for monitoring and testing socket communications.
