Just as you might have guessed by simply reading its name, SoftPlanner is a useful piece of software designed to help you manage projects and all adjacent tasks in an organized and efficient manner.

Right off the bat, you need to know that this is by no means a modern application, something that you will witness from the second you launch the app. The app's GUI is more reminiscent of past versions of Windows from almost two decades ago. Be that as it may, it works just as good on some of Windows 10.

One the upside, it's easy to install, incredibly light on system resources and it doesn't pack any of the modern features you're used to in modern planners (such as cloud support, team collaboration features, or comprehensive reporting capabilities with stylish charts and all that).

Nonetheless, it does provide you with a relatively efficient environment for managing your projects and all required resources. You can add any number of projects, of resources, and tasks. When it comes to projects, you're provided with the option of organizing them via tags, of adding start and end dates, as well as budget hours and costs.

You can also associate any project with various tasks, and add the completion percentage, as well as all the dedicated resources. In the case of both projects and tasks, allows you to add notes. We mentioned that there are no comprehensive reporting capabilities, however, the ones provided are might just do the trick. To be more precise, you can create basic reports in either PDF or RTF formats, and that's about it.
