This is a free Mac OS X variant of the popular Solitaire game (also known as Patience or Klondike), which is considered to be the most popular card game in the world. The rules should be familiar to any user, so they are not worth mentioning here.

Solitaire also features a few settings, such as choosing the draw type (1 or 3 cards), score monitoring (with or without time), optional auto-completion, sounds and the ability to undo the last action.

This Solitaire variant comes with smooth graphics, 6 types of card decks and many different backgrounds. Each card deck is beautifully rendered and the high-quality designs are crystal clear. The board view can be flipped (mirrored) in the settings menu.

Each time you double click on cards to send them to the right decks, they are gently flying and landing on top of the target cards. Overall, the visuals is one of the app’s strongest aspects. Strangely, the sound can not be heard in version 2.2 on OS X Mavericks and some compatibility fixes are welcome.

Another great feature is that the app automatically saves your last game’s progress after quitting and reopening the app. What’s more, the game can be paused by clicking on the “Menu” button from the interface.
