Solitaire XL

Solitaire XL is a fun and simple single-player card game. In this game, you get to shuffle and sort a deck of cards while following some easy rules. Sounds fun, right?

Play with Style

This game has a cool interface with a transparent background. You’ll love the smooth animations as you flip and move cards around. Your main goal? Build four different suit stacks that start with aces and end with kings!

Sorting Cards

The trick is to keep all your cards in ascending order while alternating the colors—black and red. You kick things off with four empty slots for cards and a deck located in the top left corner of the Solitaire XL main window.

Building Stacks

Only kings can fill those empty column stacks, so plan wisely! You need to build your suits in descending order before finally stacking them correctly. Use cards from your deck or those already on the table to complete your stack.

No More Moves? No Problem!

If you run out of moves or cards, just start over! Flip through the deck again until there’s nothing left to play. You can even tweak how many cards you draw each turn—one or three—by diving into Solitaire XL's Preferences window.

Customize Your Game

You can change up the animation speed, pick a solid background, enable scoring options, add a High Score nickname, and even customize the card backs with your own images!

Edit & Restart Options

The Edit menu lets you undo moves if you make mistakes. Plus, the Game menu helps you start fresh or finish up current games whenever you want. Check out where you stand by accessing the High Scores window. However, be aware that Solitaire XL isn't currently maintained anymore; its homepage is offline now.
