SONY Drivers Update Utility is a software application designed to quickly update drivers for Sony laptops.

It does not contain complex options or configuration parameters, so it can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their experience level with computer software.

The installation procedure is done quickly and painlessly. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the app handles drivers for the sound and video cards, printer, motherboard, webcam, wireless, Bluetooth, FireWire, network adapter, Windows XP, Vista and 7, USB, chipset, AC97, DVD, router, and monitor.

The scanning procedure is performed with the click of a button. Results show all outdated drivers along with the downloadable version. Downloading and installing are carried out in just a few simple steps (a select/deselect-all button is available).

You can back up and restore the original drivers if Windows starts experiencing issues afterward, include hidden devices in the scan, automatically download all new drivers after scan and power off the computer when downloads are completed, as well as set the tool to run at system startup and to immediately download and install updates when found. Settings can be restored to default.

SONY Drivers Update Utility carries out scan jobs in reasonable time while using low CPU and RAM, so its impact on PC performance is minimal. There were no issues in our tests. However, the trial version has severe limitations, and the high pricing is not justified.
