Soundnode App

Soundnode App is a desktop client for SoundCloud designed to help you access your account and manage your library without having to use a web browser. Relying on the Soundcloud API, it can connect to your account from within a user-friendly interface, allowing quick navigation to the song library and the playlist collection.

Soundnode App does not even require installation. It's enough to double click on the main executable to start the application. Upon launch, you are prompted to enter your account credentials (or login with Google or Facebook) and allow communication between SoundCloud and the desktop client.

Once logged in, you are welcomed by a friendly interface with a pleasant and stylish appearance that comprises all the important sections into a single window. With just a click, you can access your SoundCloud stream, view favorite songs in the 'Likes' area, check out stored tracks, and view a list of the available playlists.

As expected, Soundnode App also includes a built-in music player that enables you to listen to all those tracks you like so much. The player features a minimalistic option set, displaying the track progress and duration, alongside buttons for starting and pausing a song or fast-forwarding it.

Each song in your SoundCloud library is displayed in the 'Stream' section, with additional options for assigning it a 'like' or opening the 'permalink' in the default web browser. If you have a large collection and find it difficult to find a specific song, the integrated 'search' function can help you out.

Soundnode App allows fast navigation throughout your SoundCloud library, enabling you to listen to music, manage your favorites, and look for songs. It supports the native media keyboard shortcuts, so you can easily control it.

During our tests, the application triggered occasional Node.js related errors, forcing us to re-login to SoundCloud.
