Space Rage 3D FOR MAC

When waves upon waves of enemy ships begin emerging from the darkness and threaten your civilization, it is up to you to defeat them, using the most powerful ship to be found on this side of the galaxy.

Space Rage 3D is a simple space shooter that does not use complex combat mechanics or introduce any particularly interesting gameplay elements, but is enjoyable enough, especially if you play it with a Leap Motion device.

The standard control scheme is not too complicated when using a keyboard, although some bindings are a bit strange, as they make it difficult to perform certain actions. The arrow keys are used for navigation, and you can also perform some special moves, cycle between weapons and fire missiles.

Things get a lot more interesting if you own a Leap Motion device, as you can play with only one hand and have better control over your ship.

Sadly, Space Rage 3D cannot keep you entertained for very long, as all the available missions are very similar and involve tearing apart a certain number of enemy ships.

You need to make sure your generator is not destroyed, and you can take advantage of the mines scattered throughout the environment to kill your enemies as quickly as possible.

Once a ship has been destroyed, you can collect the crystals they leave behind and trade them for new weapons, shields or engines.

Space Rage 3D is quite impressive when it comes to its level design, and the special effects are not too bad either.

However, the sound effects and background music become irritating very quickly, and could have used a bit more variety.

Overall, Space Rage 3D may be fun to try out if you have a Leap Motion controller and want to play a simple, fast-paced space shooter, but the gameplay is bound to lose its appeal very quickly.
