If you are looking to edit PDF documents but don't want to bother with Adobe Acrobat DC or countless other online tools, you're probably in the right place. Speedpdf Editor is a neat program that offers its users a hefty collection of tools in order to edit and manage PDFs.

The program comes with a clean interface and a somewhat long toolbar. If you prefer to work in windowed mode, you'll have to drag those corners out. If you can get this little inconvenience, the app is very easy to work with.

As soon as you have a PDF file loaded, you are ready to go. Click a tool out of the toolbar before applying its effects. If you need to zoom in or out your PDF, the Zoom is the first in line. To select and move an object like images or other graphical insertion around, the Object Tool can help. The Hand tool has a similar function, but it only lets you move around a page, making it easier to focus on a specific spot.

Two rotation arrows will take care of rotating the current page or a range of them. For those looking to insert or remove text within a document, the Text Edit tool appears to be very efficient at its job. Stamping one's documents is another handy feature. Select it and open its context menu to add stamps like Approved, Confidential, Draft, Top Secret, For Public Release, etc. You can also use pre-defined stamps if you want.

Other than that, the editor lets you crop documents, manage hyperlinks, add sticky notes, determine thumbnails, create bookmarks, and add layers of security spanning from Acrobat 3 (40-bit) up to Acrobat X (256-bit AES). If you are not really sure what a tool's purpose is, you can hover the cursor over it and read its label. Its hotkey will also show up while doing that.

Speedpdf Editor has plenty of tools and options one might find satisfactory while editing PDFs. The app is stable and did not glitch out during our test. It can be safe to say this program represents a decent alternative to any professional or semi-professional PDF editor out there.
