If you want to make sure you do not lose any ideas that might cross your mind on a daily basis, you can turn to dedicated applications, such as Spiral.

The application does not require any installation, and due to its portability, you can take it with on a removable USB drive and launch it whenever you want to read your notes or create new ones.

You can create custom notebooks, then add pages and notes, then customize the entire project by inserting a custom background image (JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP are supported). You can add hyperlinks using the dedicated function.

Not only can you choose the font style you like best, but you also increase or decrease indentation, as well as select the heading type you prefer.

It goes without saying that bold, italic and underline are also available, along with strike-through. You can even insert lists within your notes, then use bullets and numbers to organize your data.

Moreover, you can adjust the width of each created section using the dedicated buttons until you reach the dimension you like best.

The text and background colors can be adjusted as you see fit, by selecting the appropriate shade from the table. Alternatively, you can enter HTML color codes in the dedicated field or enter the HSV or RGB values manually.

You can also capture a color from your screen since Spiral packs a bare-bones color picker.

Spiral might take some getting used to, yet once you become familiarized with it, you should be able to organize notes and notebooks in no time. You can also customize their appearance, format the text as you see fit and copy the HTML code to paste to a new document.
