Survivor Squad FOR MAC

Survival Squad is a strategy-action game that takes place in a zombie infested world in which you have to control a squad of up to 4 survivors that have a single goal: to find the  cure and stop the zombie outbreak.

One thing you will notice right from the start is the game’s dark atmosphere and it will soon become obvious that the flashlight line of sight is probably the most important thing to keep in mind. In a nutshell, the game will revolve around you having maneuver your squad through buildings and clear out all the zombies.

Of course, it won’t always be the same, as you will have to complete different tasks during the game like destroying hearts, eradicating large number of zombies, and, probably the most frustrating of them all, to defuse bombs. In your post-apocalyptic adventures, you will have to keep a very close eye on your food and your squad members’ health bars, as well as to search and find as many resources as possible in order to build more and more deadlier weapons.

After playing for a couple of minutes, another interesting fact quickly becomes clear: this isn’t what you would call an easy game, as a fair amount of tactics and strategy will be required in order to survive the hordes of zombies.

This said, it isn’t a good idea to go in with your guns blazing and shooting millions of rounds per minute because chances are you will get yourself overwhelmed by the sheer number of zombies, especially when there’s a lot of open space around. Instead, a better strategy is to go in as quiet as possible and work your way through the buildings like ninjas,  using only melee weapons.

The graphics are simple and the soundtrack and sound effects do a really great job of immersing you into what should be a life or death adventure. Also, besides the Campaign mode that follows an interesting story line, there are three more game modes, namely Death Lab, Survival, and Multiplayer, that will ensure you find a way to keep yourself entertained for hours on end.

Survival Squad provides a very interesting and well balanced gaming experience, as you can play it without feeling overwhelmed, but, more importantly, without seeming less of a challenge, as it will force you to manage resources and think ahead, just like you would when dealing with a real-life zombie outbreak in your home town.
