You might be forgiven for thinking that Sushi Browser is just any other, run-of-the-mill Chromium-based browser out there, since at least when it comes to looks, it's safe to say that it won't win any beauty contents.

However, spend a bit of time exploring what it has to offer, and you are bound to discover that this is definitely a clear example of the expression "more than meets the eye."

In just a few words, Sushi Browser is admittedly, like all browser, all about making it easy for you to browse the Internet. It's also specialized in helping you make use of every available space of your computer's screen via a set of so-called multi panels.

For instance, you can watch two websites at the same time, in different and opposing panels and synchronize the scrolling process. There's also a floating panel mode, a mobile mode, a "slim menu" and, to make things even more attractive, please note that you can also swap panels (switch their position) and accurately align them to fixed widths horizontally or vertically.

The main focus was clearly to make the panels as versatile and as functional as possible, but we're glad to report that various other, important aspects have not been overlooked either.

That said, you also get a built-in ad blocker, a nifty search function that allows you to search even in the browser's history, support for mouse gestures, data synchronization via Google and you can download multiple files in parallel. There's also a terminal, a file explorer, a text editor and a built-in video player.

At the end of the day, Sushi Browser is definitely a very interesting browser, but it's quite clear that it could be so much better and that it still needs some development time. We will agree with you if you think that most of the browser's features are gimmicks, but the truth of the matter is if you give it a chance and spend a bit of time learning the basic functionality, most of its features (especially the panel-related functional) really do make sense.

We'll also say that it's not the most stylish, not the fastest, not the most versatile, and definitely not the most lightweight browser out there. But if you're looking for a web browser that allows you to view content in a more flexible manner, and without having to install various extensions to achieve this, then Sushi Browser might just be the perfect fit for you.
