Working with Unicode symbols might simple for some but a complete annoyance for others who don't want to remember all the specific codes.
If you are one from the latter category, then you will be happy to hear that there's a very elegant solution to your problem. Meet SymbSearch, an app that, as its name slightly points out, allows you to effortlessly get ahold of Unicode symbols or special letters.
In just a few words, SymbSearch can swiftly load the specific symbols directly to your computer's clipboard, so you can comfortably paste them into your texts, without having to remember any codes at all.
Since the application does not require installation, you can get started by simply unzipping its archive and launching it via its designated executable file.
Once launched, the app starts working in the background. To summon the app's UI, you are required to make use of the CTR+Alt+W shortcut. Please note that you can define your very own keyboard shortcut by editing the default config.json file.
To get accustomed with the app, start off by typing "delta" or "alpha." Use the up and down arrows to select the particular symbol and press Enter. From this point onwards, the symbol is copied to your computer's clipboard.
The symbol collection is neatly organized in a couple of self-explanatory categories, such as Greek, Arrows, ASCII, Latin, Math, and Letters. This layout allows you to conveniently look for symbols even though you don't know their names.
Taking everything into account, we can safely say that SymbSearch is a super-efficient and non-obtrusive tool that will surely come in handy to users who constantly require the use of special letters or Unicode symbols.
