Tagit is a handy little app for your Mac that makes organizing your files super easy. Whether you’re dealing with documents, photos, or anything else, adding tags can really help you find what you need without digging through all your stuff. With Tagit, you can quickly add tags and ratings to your files and then use a simple search tool to locate them later.
The way Tagit works is pretty straightforward! It focuses on two main tasks: first, adding metadata like tags and ratings to your files, and second, helping you find those files easily when you search for them. To start tagging, just drag and drop the files onto the Tagit Dock icon. It’s as easy as that!
Once you've dropped your files on the icon, a new window pops up right away. You’ll see how many items you're about to tag. You can give them a rating and add as many different tags as you want! Plus, Tagit remembers the tags you've used recently, so you can add them again with just one click.
When it’s time to search for something specific, just click the Tagit Dock icon again. A new window opens with a search bar where you can type in keywords or select from recently used tags to make things quicker. Want even more control? You can filter results by setting a minimum file rating too!
With Tagit, managing multiple files is a breeze! You can tag and rate several files at once without breaking a sweat. Just remember to separate each tag with a comma when you're adding them.
In short, if you're looking to create your system for classifying files so you can find everything faster and easier, then Tagit is definitely worth checking out!
